The Earth

You should all know that the earth wasn't been the same 6 million years ago. The Earth Started off as a large ball of gases which lead to the formation of our planet. The planet then became a giant fire ball then became a ball of rock and magma. As the Earth's surface cooled it became solid and the heaviest substances drifted to the centre of the planet and became the core. For thousands of years the Earth was bombarded with meteorites and volcanic activity shaped the Earth into what it is today. It is believed that the moon was created during the earth's development. Scientists believe that a large meteor collided with the Earth making a fragment detach and then orbit around the Earth. This fragment then formed into the moon. The first sign of life on Earth was was seen about one billion years later.

After many years the ocean and the first solid land continent called Pangea were created. Pangea is still here today although it is a different shape and is spread around the Earths surface. It is all of the continents. Pangea was a giant land mass which over many years shifted and broke apart. all of the pieces spread over the Earth creating the seven continents.

• North America

• South America

• Asia

• Europe

• Africa

• Australia

• Antarctica

During Pangea's Change the Dinosaurs roamed the Earth along with different species of plants.
The Earth is still developing now as you read the web page with all of the continental drifts and changes in the environment.
